Since this is a new website for us – I thought the first post should be a quick introduction!
I am a 40’something Canadian girl, living in and loving Texas with my hubby Billy and my three fur-babies, Theo (8yr old Bassett Hound), Bubba (3yr old Bassett Hound) and Scruffie (3yr old Jack Russell – we think?). They pretty much run our 1890’s Eastlake Victorian home – and when clients are in my front parlor Design Studio they’re sure to see their noses pressed up against the French door glass.
I was born at the base of the Rocky Mountains in Calgary, Alberta Canada which my husband calls ‘North Texas’… After living briefly in Zimbabwe at age 22, and meeting Billy while working in the Cayman Islands at age 25, we married and then moved to Dallas in May of 2000. I love my Texas family and am proud know the difference between y’all and all y’all! I am passionate about healthy living and treating our bodies well, and also have a serious weakness for great Tex-mex, chocolate and red wine. Follow that journey on Instagram @shylop.kitchendesigner
I discovered Kitchen & Bath Design in 1998 in the Cayman Islands and have spent the last 20 years designing projects from Canada to Grand Cayman, including in New York, and many around my recent home ‘town’ of Dallas. In 2017 we relocated to a beautiful little lake town just outside of Dallas/Fort Worth where I continue to collaborate on amazing remodels and new construction projects all over.
